Apple's New Premium Smartphone Is Called iPhone X Or iPhone Edition

Apple's next premium smartphone is not called iPhone 8 , but possibly iPhone X or iPhone Edition. The iPhone 7S and 7S Plus are likely to be marketed as the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.

iPhone 8, iPhone X or iPhone Edition?

For a long time, we thought that Apple's next iPhones would be the iPhone 7S, iPhone 7S Plus and iPhone 8. The iPhone 8 is then the most premium version, with a front filler screen and no home button. Now, the names seem to be just a little different.
For example, the premium version of the new iPhone series may be called the iPhone X, suggesting a source to iCulture . This source works with a telecom company and, according to the website, had previously mentioned the existence of the 10.5-inch iPad Pro .

The name iPhone X is logical because Apple launched the first iPhone ten years ago. It is a jubilee and can be celebrated with a special name. The X is of course 10. However, this can also be confusing because the name of iPhone 9 is skipped.

iPhone Edition

However, several case makers say that the device will not be called the iPhone 8 or iPhone X, but iPhone Edition. This presents website 9to5Mac , which has spoken several case-makers at IFA Tech Tech in Germany. These sources have already seen the packaging of the new iPhones. Of course, the name of the iPhone Edition also refers to the tenth anniversary of the iPhone. Previously, the device was also called Anniversary Edition.
However, the different sources are one thing: the iPhone 7S and 7S Plus do not exist. The new entry-level models of the iPhone are put on the market as the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.
Another one and a half week patience and we are sure what Apple's plans are. On September 12, the company is holding a presentation where all new products are revealed. Read our Apple Event forecasts for what you can expect.
