This year's iPhone is given the ability to charge wirelessly, according to rumors. But the accessory mentioned above would not appear until the iPhone 8 is already on the market.
iPhone wireless charging delayed
That at least describes the generally well-informed Apple blogger John Gruber. On Twitter he writes: "I've heard that wireless charging works with an accessory, which is sold separately and may appear later." Gruber says that the charging pad may not appear until the launch of iOS 11.1 .
